I made this blog to write the ups and downs of my journey. Writing is so therapeutic and it allows us to reflect on emotions and situations we go through so here it goes. Like any other business, being a decorator has come with criticism (both good and bad) from others as well as myself. I know that I can be really hard on myself but with a name like Perfection Essentials who wouldn’t always strive for Perfection??? But also, lately I’ve wondered if this is even my calling. Should I consider this career for the rest of my life?? Can i honestly be successful at this??? Decorating makes me happy. I love doing it. But it’s so much harder than it seems and Doing it all by yourself gets so draining and I often question how can I excel from this point? It’s like I’m at a standstill of some sort and it makes me so sad because I want so much for Perfection Essentials. I’ve tried to make changes for the better but nothing has stuck out to me yet as that lightbulb moment. When you want different results you make different choices. I feel like I’m running out of choices to try. I look at other successful decorators and I’m happy for them but nowhere near where they are and i know it’s not a race! Honestly it just inspires me sometimes and discourages me other times… With so much uncertainty I am not sure to walk away or keep fighting for my passion.
Royal Lil Princess
Here is some work I did from June! This baby shower was small and intimate so it didn’t take much to bring out these beautiful colors and allow the theme to shine through the decorations. One of my friends is having a baby girl and we are all excited for her! She will be treated like nothing less than a little princess ❤️ Congratulations Jericha!
Sesame Street Centerpieces
This is my third rodeo with Sesame Street and I always aim to make different decorations every time for my clients. But for some reason these are my favorites!
🐘 Elephants Baby Shower 2018
What a way to start 2018! Perfection Essentials provided many customs for this beautiful baby shower. My client wanted a silver and aqua blue elephant theme… so I made it my mission to bring the theme to life! From the Mini photo booth and photo frame, Centerpieces, backdrop and name boxes, to the balloon art and more! Thank you soooo much to my client for the opportunity to be decorate this shower and congratulations on “little peanut”!
What’s next? Only time can tell but I’m looking forward to many more events!
Winter Wonderland Baby Shower
Baby it’s Cold Outside! Baby Ali was showered with a warm welcome with some gifts from loved ones who are patiently waiting on his arrival! This Shower was Blue and Wintery with blinged accents to tie this theme together. This was my last event of 2017 so I did my best to end it strong. I’m so proud of what this year has taught me and I look forward to using new styles in 2018! See you all in January with another party! A special thank you and congratulations to Jaslyn on your baby boy ❤️
Sweet 60th Vinyl Records Party
To say the least I had to get really creative with this theme because there wasn’t a lot of inspiration online but I’m so proud that I nailed this for my clients. The siblings wanted to throw there Mom a surprise 60th ❤️ She has a huge love for records and has a big collection at home! They wanted that to shine through the decorations in an elegant way so I worked hard to achieve this for them. The Centerpieces are real records! I’m grateful it was a hit 😉! Ending 2017 strong and looking forward to 2018 and the endless possibilities
Paw Patrol Birthday Fun!
Man oh man was it a busy but fun day! This is one of my favorite parties that I’ve done! For the centerpieces I decided to use cocoa puffs as faux dog food ( just a fun idea if you have curious little ones at the party who like to explore with their mouths). I love how the colors transformed the room. The venue was small so it was a challenge but nothing too big for Perfection Essentials 😉 This was budget friendly and I loved using actual dog bowls and bones to compliment the theme! My client was happy so ofcourse that was the highlight of it all! Wishing King a special Happy Birthday! ❤️ Next Parties are in December!
Kennedys Shopkins Spa Party
Here are some of the party highlights from the Shopkins Spa party! It turned out to be such a success! The little ladies were able to get glam with manicure bowls and pedicure bowls for their hands and feet and their choice of polish. Some of the girls did their own nails while others got a little help from moms! We had yummy sweets and pizza and hot dogs and we jammed to music and took pictures in the Shopkins photobooth. As most of you know Kennedy is my daughter so I always feel like I am limitless to the creativity that I have inside whenever it is time to do something special for her…She loves being a girly girl and she loves Shopkins so It was a perfect opportunity to do a Shopkins Spa! I loved the colors and got most of the supplies for the party from the dollar tree! I can’t wait to do another party and show you all! Until next time!
Baby Your A Firework 🎶 Fourth of July Baby Shower!
Red, White, Blue and oh so cute! I am so grateful for the opportunity to do this fun and creative theme and my client was satisfied so my mission was accomplished! Stepping out of the box to do a girly patriotic baby shower took a lot of careful thought…but with the holiday right around the corner, the colors and possibilities were endless! With my clients decoration budget I made custom centerpieces, custom balloon backdrop, a sweet bar, a diaper cake, signs, banners and much more! I’m really hoping CatchmyParty will notice my professional work soon! It’s been a goal of mine for quite some time and I have been inspired by work I see on their blog for years! I believe I’m on the road to this type of accomplishment! I just have to keep working hard like this!!! Thank you Tink and Happy Fourth of July Everyone! There is nothing like a party or celebration! It brings people together and memories are made that can be cherished for a lifetime… It’s not just the crafting part that I love the most, it’s the people interaction and customer satisfaction that gives this career true meaning! I love the look on clients faces, seeing them excited about their special moments and how their vision turned out…It is so refreshing to me and it makes me feel like I played a part in the happiness that people share. Just knowing that my clients trust me enough to be apart of their visions by creating things means so much to me. I truly love and live to do this and I feel so blessed God gave me Perfection Essentials!
Everything’s Sweet on Sesame Street 🍭
Hello to all it has been such a long time but surprise! Perfection Essentials did this party for Noah’s first birthday on April 9, 2017 and it turned out awesome! It felt so good to do a party since it’s been so long and I will be glad when the momentum speeds up but I know that it’s a process. In between time I have been growing as a person and as a decorator! I look forward to sharing more work with you all! This party was done with a budget of under $150! It was fun being creative with inexpensive resources like boxes 😉 (just a hint)

I love the fact that I’m always thinking of ways to be different. To be better. I have made a promise and a vow to ELEVATE 🙌🏼 my creativity. I’m ready to take risks with Perfection Essentials…Make new things. Make bigger things. I want to constantly build my abilities and do things that I’ve looked at as impossible for so long. I’m praying that one day I can look back at this post and use it as a testimony that with God any passion can become whatever you make of it with willingness, faith and persistence… Stay tuned for new because I have so many ideas up my sleeve ❤️ and always strive for what makes you happy!

I just finished college!!!!! I’m so excited and eager to get back to this dream of mine. I’m a little nervous because I feel rusty going a whole semester without decorating or crafting 😩 but with God by my side I’m claiming victory and continuous progress. Now who’s party can I get my hands on 😁🙌🏼

Here it is! My last party of the year. Bittersweet about it but I have to focus and end this year off strong at school. My daughter really enjoyed herself and really that’s all that matters. I had fun taking this theme to another level and giving it girly accents! I hope you all enjoy 😘
Out for the season
Hello everyone! I will be finishing my last semester of college from August to December. My load of work will not allow me to do any birthday parties/events and I will be out for a season. I would rather take a break so that my clients can always have my full undivided attention! My last party I will be doing this year will be August 22nd which will be my daughters birthday so I will be sure to go out with a bang and I’ll be back and better with more creations for you all in January of next year! I’m sorry for the inconvenience 😦
I put a lot of creativity into this Paris themed baby shower and I’m so glad that I met the expectations of my client! A lot of the things that I created for this party were handmade…from the paper fans to the diaper cakes to the favors for the guests to take home. I’m extremely proud of my work and I love the color scheme and everything this was definitely a success 🙌

I absolutely loved how this baby shower turned out! My cousin gave me this theme idea and I love how creative I was able to get with it. I kept the Centerpieces simple and made sure the sweet buffet table tied the entire theme together for the guests! I’m Soooo thankful that my family gave me this event! I executed it ☺️😉
The Elizabeth New Life Center Banquet #2
I have been continuing to work with the Elizabeth New Life Center and I took on the task of making them more cupcakes stands for their banquet in Mason Ohio (I made 60).
It turned out wonderful and I really did my best to get creative and put a lot of crafting love into my work. I glittered some, I kept some simple… I even attempted to put little tutus around some of the cupcake stands and they turned out great! But I wanted them to be a symbol for the children they work so hard to save and I wanted them to also represent my appreciation for my daughter. As always it was a pleasure working with this organization they are amazing! ❤️
